 In Nederland zijn in het vorige jaar 499.983 nieuwe auto’s op kenteken gezet. Dat is 1,1 procent minder dan in het 2007. Toen werden 505.641 auto’s geregistreerd.  In december zijn negentien procent minder nieuwe auto’s verkocht dan in die maand in 2007. De teller bleef hangen op 7.250 auto’s. Dat meldt het RDC Datacentrum. December is traditioneel een slappe automaand. In totaal is in 2008 net niet de 500.000 nieuwe auto’s gehaald. Dat aantal boven verwachting. De Bovag en RAI hadden een daling tot 487.000 nieuwe auto’s becijferd. De verwachting voor nu is dat de markt in 2009 met zes procent krimpt tot 470.000 auto’s. Het populairste merk in Nederland is Volkswagen. De Golf was in het vorige jaar het meestverkochte model. In 2007 was dat nog de Peugeot 207. Die staat nu op de tweede plek voor de Opel Corsa. Ondanks de zege moet VW wel een verkoopverlies van 7,8 procent slikken ten opzichte van het vorige jaar. In 2008 werden maar 46.157 Volkswagens verkocht terwijl men in Leusden gewend is 50.000 auto’s van dat merk per jaar te verkopen.Ford is de nummer twee in ons land met 43.550 verkochte auto’s. Opel staat op de onderste trede van het ereschavot en verkocht 40.870 auto’s. Daarmee eindigt het merk nipt voor Peugeot. De dikste plus van 139 procent wordt in 2008 geschreven door Dacia. Daarna schrijven Honda met 46 procent en Mini met 17 procent de grootste winst. De belangrijkste verliezers zijn Chrysler met een min van 46 procent, Alfa Romeo met -37 procent, Saab met -36 procent en Kia met een min van 23 procent. |
