 De subsidieregelingen voor roetfilters en schone motoren blijven nog bestaan tot 31 december. Aanvankelijk was het plan de regelingen in het nieuwe jaar te schrappen. Er zit nog 61 miljoen euro in de subsidiepot. Voor het nieuwe jaar ligt nog 61 miljoen euro klaar als subsidie voor het inbouwen van roetfilters op bestaande personenautodiesels en Euro 3 vrachtwagens. In 2008 hebben eigenaren van dit soort auto’s 72 miljoen euro subsidie ontvangen. Het Ministerie van VROM claimt dat bij vrachtwagens de inbouw van zo’n roetfilter de uitstoot van fijnstof met 50 tot 95 procent reduceert en bij personenauto’s met 30 tot 95 procent. De subsidie valt onder de regeling Verkeersmaatregelen Luchtkwaliteit. Naast de inbouw van roetfilters wordt daarin ook subsidie verstrekt voor de aanschaf van een BPM-vrije taxi of bestelauto zonder roetfilter of een vrachtauto met een Euro 5 of EEV-etiket. Ook wordt het inbouwen van een roetfilter op een mobiel werktuig gesponsord. |
