 De concurrentie zit niet bepaald stil op dieselgebied, dus Honda voelt zich genoodzaakt om de Accord ook wat meer pk’s mee te geven.De Accord diesel krijgt namelijk een sterkere Type-S variant. Het blok, een sterkere variant van dat uit de al bekende Accord 2.2 i-DTEC, is in de Type-S goed voor 180 pk. Dat is 30 pk meer dan de gewone versie. Het maximumkoppel stijgt naar 380 Nm, ook 30 stuks meer dan voorheen.De Type-S onderscheidt zich van de gewone Accords door een nieuwe bumperpartij met spoilerlip, verchroomde grille en helder glas voor de richtingaanwijzers. Het 18 inch lichtmetaal heeft een ander design meegekregen. De 2.2 i-DTEC komt als Sedan en als Tourer op de markt. De onthulling vindt plaats in Genève, prijzen zijn nog niet bekend. |
