 Honda's huistuner Mugen maakt van de Insight een strakke hybride. Met dit accessoire-pakket moet zelfs de meest verstokte hybride-scepticus overstag gaan voor de charmes van de Insight. Alleen jammer dat dit pakket alleen voor de Japanse markt is. In Japan rijden de eerste Honda’s Insight sinds kort rond. Huistuner Mugen komt al meteen met het Zero-Lift aerodynamisch pakket voor de nieuwe hybride op de markt. Zoals de naam doet vermoeden, moet hij er beter door op de weg komen liggen en natuurlijk krijgt hij er een sportievere uitstraling van. De verschillen met de gewone Insight kunnen niet over het hoofd worden gezien. Er is een voorspoiler met mistlampen, een grote sportgrille, zijskirts, een indrukwekkende kofferbakspoiler en een onderbumper met een diffusor. Verder is de driehoekige uitlaatpijp een opvallend detail. Mugen biedt voorts keuze tussen 15 en 16 inch wielen. Voor wie ook wat aan de rij-kwaliteiten van zijn Insight wil doen, is er een sportpakket met aangepaste dempers en veren die de auto 2 centimeter lager leggen. Tot slot kan Mugen een bandencontrolesysteem inbouwen en zijn er speciale matten en zelfs aluminium sportpedalen. |
