 Goed nieuws voor de liefhebbers: de Honda Civic Type-R Special Edition komt daadwerkelijk naar Nederland. De Special Edition geldt als de ultieme Civic Type-R. De Special Edition komt in de exclusieve kleur Championship White, een eerbetoon aan Honda’s eerste Formule 1-auto uit 1963. Ook de 18 inch lichtmetalen wielen zijn in deze kleur uitgevoerd. Het grootste onderscheid met de andere Type-R’s vormt echter het sperdifferentieel. Dit zorgt ervoor dat de Special Edition Honda’s Tsukaba circuit 1,44 seconden sneller rondt dan een gewone Type-R. Honda verandert niets aan de 2,0-liter viercilinder. Zodoende bedraagt het vermogen 201 pk bij 7.800 tpm, het maximumkoppel bedraagt 193 Nm. De Type-R Special Edition staat vanaf april bij de dealers. De prijzen zijn op dit moment nog niet bekend. |
